It was a perfect welcome for Pobalscoil Corca Dhuibhne as they warmed up. With the score at 23-6 with only one quarter left, I told my players, all they trained for all season was only a few minutes away, as long as focus was maintained. The final score was 32-10, capped by a fine 3 pointer by captain Stephen Ward 2 seconds from time. As Pobalscoil Corca Dhuibhne inbounded the ball after this, the sound from our fans was deafening. A special word of gratitude must also go out to parents who travelled over Ireland to support the team. Last but not least our fans have to be thanked as it was the atmosphere they created that made our All Ireland win all the more memorable.
