School Musical
This year we staged our thirteenth musical, Les Miserables.   Les Miserables is one of the longest-running and most popular shows in the West End and on Broadway.

Rehearsals began in early Septemberand took place after schoolin the evenings and at weekends.  The cast was very talented and enthusiastic.  Everyone involved, particularly those in the leading roles, displayed great dedication and good spirits throughout the busy practice schedule.  The band rehearsed regularly also, and performed magnificently at the shows.

The theme of the show is “To love another person is to see the face of God”. Our students portrayed that exceptionally well, and we are very proud of them.

Les Miserable opened on Tuesday, 22 October with a daytime performance forthe 6th classes students of St. Collmcilles SNS, Gaelscoil Chnoc Liamhna andthe Abacus School.  It continued to run over the following three nights.  It was a resounding success with full houses and standing ovations each night.

The Art Department designed and painted beautiful scenery.  The costumes were amazing.  The help and support given by many members of the staffcontributed to the success of the show. Special congratulations go to Ms. Kelly whose dedication and coordination ensured that the production ran smoothly and was such a triumph.
